Move Supplies

Gibbs can readily furnish even large quantities of packing containers and clean packing and move supplies to meet each Customer's need, including:

• Crates, boxes, bins, cartons, speed packs

• Dollies and carts

• Bubble wrap, white paper, padding material, blankets newspaper, bubble      wrap, micro foam, blankets, straps, and labels

• Computer bags

• Marking material, labels

• Color-coded or secure marking tags 

• Packing Tape (heavy duty)

• Stretch wrap (clear/black)

• Marking tags (color-coded or secure) 

• Tie down devices and

• Lifting equipment.

 
Move Containers 

Gibbs complement of containers includes Reusable Containers (Crates); Standard Move Boxes; Specialty Boxes for items that are oversized, fragile, glass, or heavy; and Wood Crates built to order for specific requirements.

Disassembly / Reassembly of Items
GCI anticipates that some customer items may need to be disassembled or de-mounted prior to the move. Our experienced technical disassembly teams provide all tools and equipment necessary. All hardware (screws, washer, nuts, bolts, mounts) are kept together and stored/moved in plastic bags. Items requiring disassembly may include:

• White boards, Mirrors

• Artwork, Pictures, Clocks

• Systems furniture

• Modular workstations

• Conference tables

• L-shaped desks

• Book cases

• Wall panels, Cubicles

• Overhead storage

• High-density filing systems

Packing & Loading 
Gibbs offers complete packing/unpacking services. Gibbs’ trained packers use clean, sturdy materials and containers designed for safe moving: boxes, crates, and cartons designed to protect all items to be moved. Gibbs moves office equipment in appropriate carts, and does not stack equipment on top of each other. All office equipment is secured during the move process.

Moving IT Equipment  
Gibbs manages computer and telecom equipment as priority items. We move computer and IT equipment using a proven system which ensures the safe movement of fragile equipment. At the Destination, GCI places all electronic equipment as identified on the item’s move label.

IT Support - Disconnect/Reconnect
Gibbs can provide IT specialists to relocate (breakdown and setup) the Customer's important IT and telecom systems. Or, we can support the Customer’s own IT team as needed. It is our objective to coordinate and accomplish this aspect of customer relocations within extremely short timeframes.

Coordinate with Vendors
GCI can coordinate and manage vendor personnel addressing Destination site electric, communications, network, internet, and data port set-up requirements. 
GCI can plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor each provider/installer of these services to coordinate a seamless sequence of events.

Building Protection

Gibbs installs a superior level of building protection to protect all floors, walls, surfaces, elevators on "push paths". Protections include masonite sheets, rolled corrugated cardboard, corner guards on walls, and exterior posts, columns, or supports. We also use heavy masonite sheets to protect all floors and expansion joints.  

Air-Ride Trucks & Equipment

Gibbs runs a specialized fleet of air-ride trucks with heavy-duty lift gates. We can handle even the heaviest pieces. We provide clean and sound, closed, weather-proof type vehicles of sufficient size (26’ trucks and tractor-trailers) and all ramps and walk boards needed for the move. Gibbs' large fleet and vehicle options insure the smooth, uninterrupted flow of items in transit.
